UW Recruit Has Game For The Ages

We all knew that Wisconsin hockey recruit Grant Besse was an elite talent. However his game on Saturday night left everyone in awe.

The junior forward for Benilde-St. Margaret's had arguably the best high school hockey state championship performance of all time on Saturday night.

Playing in front of over 17,000 fans at the Xcel Energy Center, the 2014 Badger recruit notched five goals, including three short handed to lead Benilde to the Class AA State Title.

For the weekend, Besse notched eight goals and eleven points in the three games BSM played. Besse recorded 18 points in six playoff games, and finished the entire season with an eye popping 92 points (52 goals) in 31 games.

Besse is just a junior in high school and has yet to make up his mind on where he'll play next season. At this point, it's probably a safe assumption that he'll be in the USHL, where Muskegon holds his rights.
