Senior Night, a Farewell to Springer

With the Badgers wrapping up their final home game of the season tonight at the Kohl Center, I just wanted to take a moment and give thanks to the lone senior on the Wisconsin roster this season, Eric Springer.

The Wrightstown, Wisconsin native carried himself with class for four seasons, and I'm proud to have watched him wear the cardinal and white Badger sweater with pride.

Mr. Springer was in and out of the lineup quite a bit in his first two seasons, but found a home on the Badger blue-line as a regular in his final two years of eligibility.

Springs was never the flashiest player on the ice, but that wasn't his job when he accepted a spot on the Wisconsin hockey team. He was a no-nonsense defenseman that carried his heart on his sleeve and played with pride and passion for the team he grew up idolizing.

You can't ask for much more than that.

Thanks for being a Badger Eric.
