In the initial news-churning phase over these past couple of days, we've found ourselves with a real concern that defensive line coach and Florida recruiter Charlie Partridge would be the one to be going with Bret Bielema to Arkansas. As of now, that seems to be the rumor that everyone has pumped the brakes on.
But today? The big assistant on everyone's lips is Chris Ash.
Rumors have him linked to two schools. One is North Carolina State. Recruit Nile Sykes made mention that he was looking forward to being recruited by NC State because Ash was leaving. It does fit. New Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren and Ash were college teammates at Drake and have coached together at a couple of stops in their careers, including Wisconsin.
The second? Arkansas. Rumor maven Pete Roussel of coachingsearch.com appeared on Arkansas Sports Talk Radio and weighed in on Ash.
Roussel: I would expect Wisconsin defensive coordinator Chris Ash to join Bret Bielema's staff at Arkansas.

Nothing is set in stone as of yet, and of course Ash did appear at today's press conference, but this is definitely a situation that warrants watching.
