Update 11:46 P.M.: Of course, this would dictate that Matt Wells would be remaining.
Another source telling me that Utah's Kalani Sitake has still yet to be contacted by Utah State. Another sign pointing to Wells is the guy

The plan has always been that Gary Andersen was going to bring both of his coordinators along with him to run the Badgers next season. Dave Aranda was always seen as a lock for the defensive coordinator position. But Matt Wells, the offensive coordinator, may not be following along.
Sources indicate Matt Wells has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Gary Andersen as Utah State's head coach

This would be an interesting and rapid rise for Wells in his return to Logan, who was the quarterback for Utah State's last bowl win. Two seasons ago, he was the quarterbacks coach, and at this point? Reports are also having him already contacting possible assistants for the position. It seems like it would be a solid quick-strike replacement from the Aggies' point of view, but there is still another candidate in Kalani Sitake, Utah's defensive coordinator, who is yet to interview.
And recent history dictates that Sitake is someone they are going to at least give the time of day to in Logan.
