With the current quarterback issues taking place in Madison, it’s apparent the Wisconsin coaching staff wants to address this concern immediately and not have any depth chart issues in 2013.
QB John O'Korn (Class of 2013): 6'3", 210 lbs - Fort Lauderdale, FL
Three-star QB recruit, John O’Korn was offered by Bret Bielema on Wednesday. O’Korn, a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas and also currently committed to the University of Houston, was scouted last week by assistant coach Charlie Partridge and was made know that he was "their guy."
There is one small problem: not only has he already made a commitment to the University of Houston, but he hasn’t been to Madison for a visit yet, either. While both Bielema and Partridge have made known their thoughts on the QB, O’Korn made this statement to Evan Flood of Badgers247, in regard to heading to Wisconsin in 2013, "I just got to get up there and see if it's the right fit for me, if not, I'll stay committed to Houston. It's going to take a lot for me to switch my decision. I made a commitment and I always want to stick with my word."
ATH/QB Damon Mitchell (Class of 2013): 6'2", 175 lbs - Egg Harbor City, NJ
Another possible quarterback potentially making his way to Madison is 3-star recruit Damon Mitchell. Mitchell, who is currently committed to Georgia Tech, was convinced to come for a visit on October 6th, and coach Thomas Hammock is making sure that the communication lines stay open between the QB and Wisconsin. Arizona, Iowa and Rutgers are also in the mix of schools trying to pry Mitchell away from the Yellow Jackets. Mitchell said to Evan Flood of Badgers247, about the relationship between himself, and Georgia Tech, "Things are fine as long as there's no dramatic changes."
LB Tiquention Coleman (Class of 2013): 5'10", 200 lbs - Milledgeville, GA
On the defensive side of the football, Bielema also made an offer to Georgia Military Junior College Safety, Tiquention Coleman. Like many other recruits, Coleman is planning on making his visit to the campus next weekend as the Badgers take on Ohio State. Assistant coach Ben Strickland paid a visit to Coleman last week and obviously made it known to the rest of the coaching staff that he liked what he saw. When talking to Evan Flood from Badgers247 about coming to Madison, Coleman said, "There's a high chance I could commit."
