This is the game where Wisconsin turns it all around, right? An opportunistic first half against Nebraska had fans feeling good; the second half brought us back to reality. The Badgers are still struggling with their identity, but the crestfallen Illini may be the perfect balm. A year ago, Illinois took a 17-7 lead into halftime, only to watch Montee Ball run rampant on its defense in the second half of a 28-17 Badger win.

Plenty of intriguing storylines today. Can the defense continue to force turnovers after its slow start to the season? Will the coaches find a balance in carries between Ball, Melvin Gordon and James White? Will there be a need for UW's two-minute drill quarterback to make an appearance?

Kyle Costigan is out at right guard due to injury and will be replaced by Zac Matthias. Costigan is a guy whom our Andrew Rosin has linked to UW's success this season. The offensive line will get another opportunity to step in a game that is must-win for Wisconsin to keep it's Big Ten Championship Game hopes alive. Enjoy the open thread!
