Update (again): The computers believe in us, though. The Badgers are No. 25 in this week's BCS standings.

Update: Turns out the AP voters didn't like Wisconsin quite enough for a Top 25 berth in this week's poll.

After a 3-2 start to the season, Wisconsin's healing continues. The latest bit of good news is the Badgers' return to the USA Today Coaches Poll, which has the Badgers at No. 25.

Wisconsin retained Paul Bunyan's Axe after a 38-13 win over Minnesota on Saturday, its third win since losing at Nebraska on Sept. 29. The Badgers initially dropped out of the coaches poll after that Nebraska loss, and they have been out of the AP Top 25 since Sept. 9, one day after their Week 2 loss at Oregon State.

We'll see what comes out of the media poll, though it wouldn't surprise me if Wisconsin returns to that one, too. The Badgers have outscored their last three opponents, 107-41, and seem to be rounding into the shape many of us expected earlier in the fall. Up next is Michigan State, now a four-loss team after losing at Michigan at Saturday. But make no mistake -- the Badgers and Spartans have played some of the best games in the Big Ten over the past couple of years, forming a budding rivalry that could soon be among the conference's best.
