Nearly three weeks after B5Q first noticed the end zones and Motion W at Camp Randall Stadium looking purple, the field has received a paint job.

The end zones and logo at mid-field now have a much richer red color that more accurately reflects Wisconsin's official cardinal color.

The artificial turf at Camp Randall is set to be replaced by May 2012, which may explain why it hadn't been re-painted recently, but after two home games, it was obvious the red on the field needed to be touched up.

Considering the exposure the UW football program is receiving and the fact Wisconsin hosts Nebraska on ABC at 7 p.m. Oct. 1, it's no surprise the athletic department took action on something as simple as making sure the end zones were the right color.

Kudos to Wisconsin for realizing the problem and taking action.
