SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Top 25 Rankings "
Onto my explanations:
No. 3 Oklahoma - Moving the Sooners up a spot was the last move I made this week. I really like LSU, Boise State and Alabama so it was hard for me to move Oklahoma up even though they got a great win at Florida State. Alabama's defense is better than OU's, but overall, the Sooners might have a better team so they get the nod at No. 3.
No. 5 Stanford - Almost made a late change and moved the Badgers ahead of the Cardinal after it was announced Monday that Stanford's leading tackler Shayne Skov is out for the year. It's blow, but let's wait and see how the Cardinal adjust.
No. 9 Oklahoma State - You know I've had my doubts about the Cowboys, but I'm starting to come around on them.
No. 19 West Virginia - The Mountaineers are the highest of seven new teams I have ranked on this week's ballott. I hadn't really had a chance to see West Virginia until this week and they impressed me with a big win over Maryland.
No. 21 Michigan - Until the Wolverines lose, it's hard not to buy into what they are doing on the football field. Loved the Brady Hoke hire and I have to give Michigan credit for now.
No. 22 Illinois - The Illini have been the most under-the-radar team in the Big Ten through four weeks. They have a tricky trap-game against Western Michigan this week so let's see how they respond.
