Joe Pavelski Charity Golf Tournament Friday

With the tournament only being four days away, I figured it would be an excellent time for a reminder that the Joe Pavelski charity golf tournament and reception is coming up on Friday.

I recently spoke with the tournament organizers and they said they still have golf and reception spots available so get yourself signed up for an awesome event that goes for a great cause.

Press release from the organizers:

Greetings Joe Pavelski Fans,

Joe is proud to announce the third annual Joe Pavelski Golf Tournament, scheduled for Friday, June 24th, 2011. Last year's event brought out record numbers of both golfers and guests for a memorable afternoon on the links. Your sizable turnout and generous support enabled Joe to make significant contributions to both The Joe Pavelski Scholarship for Leaders and Portage County Youth on Ice. This year's event will once again feature a full day of golf and socializing, complete with a live auction, and catered reception. Tournament information and online registration can be found at: www.nwsportsagency.com.

I can speak from experience that this event is first class all the way and I would recommend it to anyone. Joe is more than happy to stop and talk with members of the event and makes the rounds signing autographs for every golfer. It's not every day that you get to hang out at the country club with a National Champion and an Olympic Silver Medalist.

After golfing there is a catered reception (you can buy tickets for just the reception if you want) with a live auction that features LOADS of awesome merchandise including in recent years game used Wisconsin jerseys.

Remember that this is a charity event and proceeds go to The Joe Pavelski Scholarship for Leaders as well as Portage County Youth on Ice. The $125 fee per player for 18 holes at a country club course with a cart and an excellent catered meal with Joe Pavelski is an excellent deal and it goes for a great cause.
