Wisconsin travels to North Carolina for next year's Big Ten/ACC Challenge
Brace yourself Badger fans. Bo Ryan and company will get another shot to take down a college basketball blue blood on Wednesday, Nov. 30 when Wisconsin and North Carolina face off in the 2011 Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The pairings for the 13th installment of the annual series were announced today. The full schedule is posted on Georgia Tech's official web site.
The Wisconsin-North Carolina clash will headline the second and final night of games. The Tar Heels will head into the 2010-11 season as the consensus No. 1 team in the country after returning stars Tyler Zeller, John Henson and Harrison Barnes.
Wisconsin returns point guard Jordan Taylor, but loses a number of important pieces from this year's Sweet 16 entry. The Badgers will be determined to avoid a similar fate to one they endured in 2007 when a trip to Duke in the Challenge resulted in a crushing 82-58 defeat.
Both programs are 6-6 overall in the challenge. North Carolina is 2-3 at home and is coming off last season's loss at Illinois. Wisconsin has won three in a row in the series, but sports a 1-5 road record.
Game times and television coverage have yet to be determined.
