What do you know? It's Friday- and I'm in love. Lets get the weekend started!
Wisconsin guard Josh Gasser knew for his shot to go in, it would need to hit the backboard, according to Rob Schultz of Madison.com. But before Gasser put up a trey with 1.2 seconds left, the Badgers made a plan for their final possession.
"They were taking away the back door. We talked about that, me and Josh did," Taylor said. "(Tim) Hardaway cut off the baseline and I just tried to make a play going back to the middle and (Stu) Douglass came over and then Josh did an unbelievable job of presenting himself. He threw his arms straight up. It was hard to miss. After that it was all him."
Taylor was double-teamed off of the inbounds from Gasser, but it looked like the Wolverines played right into the Badgers' hands. Head coach Bo Ryan spoke about the game's final seconds to Schultz:
"Jordan drew that double team, found Josh," he continued. "How did he did that? You just have to give him a lot of credit. It's all part of what you do, but you have to make the play and Jordan made the play and Josh made the basket."
More Badger Bits after the jump!
Bret Bielema filled out his coaching staff on Thursday, hiring former UW graduate assistant Thomas Hammock away from the Gophers to be Wisconsin's new running backs coach.
Tom Oates of Madison.com writes that two Badgers have met Dickie V's gold standard for national players.
Oates also writes that he doesn't think many Big Ten teams will make it to the Big Dance this year.
Dave Heller of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel found an interesting link: Camp Randall was ranked as a Top 10 national stadium by CBSSports.com.
Jon Franz of Off Tackle Empire wonders whether either the Legends or the Leaders division will dominate the B1G Ten in 2011.
Chuck Schwartz of Sixy Minutes. No Alibis. No Regrets. has his preview of the Badgers' series with St. Cloud State.
Also from Schwartz, it looks like former UW goalie Kirk Daubenspeck is making progress after he was seriously injured in a car accident last week.
Finally, I think this deserves another viewing. Have a great weekend everyone!
