I know what you're thinking: your Friday would be much better with some Badger Bits. If that's the case, you're in luck!

I think it's pretty safe to say that Wisconsin point guard Jordan Taylor works hard. So that's why I was relieved to hear that Taylor was held out of practice yesterday, according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The sports medicine part of Bo Ryan's staff decided that in preparation for this Saturday's game against No. 1 Ohio State, it would be in Taylor's best interest to take a day off.

"I'd never ask for a day off," Taylor explained after watching his teammates practice in the Nicholas-Johnson Pavilion. "I wanted to practice. Sports medicine said to take the day off."

"I'm fine, 100%. I'm great. I'm ready to go. Practicing tomorrow and I'll be ready for Saturday."

Taylor played in 44 of 45 possible minutes in Wisconsin's 62-59 overtime victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes, which says to me that this was a well-deserved day off for Taylor.

More Badger Bits after the jump!

Dave Heller of the MJS says a lot of media-types believe Ohio State will lose on Saturday in Madison.

Mike Lucas of UWBadgers.com says that Josh Gasser's hustle saved the day for the Badgers against Iowa.

Andy Baggot of Madison.com has a nice write up on women's hockey player Meghan Duggan.

The TCU athletic director has responded to the talk that the Horned Frogs turned down a re-match with the Badgers. Hmmm... I wonder who started talking about this whole situation a while ago?

Baggot has a preview of this weekend's matchup between the University of Nebraska-Omaha and the Wisconsin men's hockey team. Chuck Schwartz has his up too.

And finally, Hillary of Off Tackle Empire has done a comprehensive survey filled with legal mumbo-jumbo of the most liked teams in the Big Ten.

Have a great weekend!
