Next week we will be giving away copies of the new book What It Means To Be A Badger: Barry Alvarez And Wisconsin's Greatest Players via Twitter and Facebook.
Further details on the contest will be announced Monday.
But, if you can't wait until Monday to win a copy, you can go to The University Book Store Hilldale Mall in Madison Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. for a book signing with author and UW associate athletic director Justin Doherty. Badger legends Ron Dayne and Pat Richter will also be on hand at the book signing before Wisconsin takes on Penn State.
Here is some more information about the book:
What It Means to Be a Badger explores the program’s vast success and the simple question – What does it mean to be a Badger? One person or one phrase cannot answer that question because so many different emotions encompass the true Wisconsin spirit. Over 40 of the greatest Wisconsin student-athletes, coaches, and administrators from the past century were called upon to express why they are so proud to be a part of the storied tradition that is Wisconsin football. What It Means to Be a Badger brings together all of their stories, as told by the most outstanding voices of the Wisconsin program and guaranteed to enhance your passion for Badger football. It’s not just one tradition, one season or one particular game – it’s the stories coming from the student-athletes and coaches who made the magic happen over the decades that capture the true essence of representing the University of Wisconsin.
