With the hockey season fast approaching, I wanted to take a minute to give you a layout of the coverage for the Wisconsin hockey team this week, and as the season rolls along. This week we'll be covering the team extensively leading up to Friday night's puck drop at 7:00 at the Kohl Center vs Northern Michigan.
Monday night we'll continue our "Meet the Freshmen" series featuring forward Matt Paape. The freshman previews will continue on Tuesday as we take a look at forward Tyler Lapic. We'll also go in depth with a preview of the Badger net-minders, and wrap up the day with a recruiting update.
Wednesday we'll profile freshman defenseman Patrick Daly, give you a season preview on the teams forwards, and have an update on Badger hockey players playing professional hockey this season. Thursday we'll wrap up the "Meet the Freshman" series with goaltender Joel Rumpel. We'll also roll out our Badger defensemen preview, and have an extensive preview of the series against Northern Michigan.
Friday we have an interview with Northern Michigan beat writer Matt Wellens that will be a must read leading up to puck drop. We also have a surprise interview with a Badger recruit to publish sometime this week as well.
As the season continues, you can expect a weekly preview of the upcoming series on Thursday, and hopefully a weekly interview with the opposing team's beat writer every Friday. We'll also do a weekend recap after the series every Sunday. As always you can expect updates on recruiting, Badgers in the pro's, and anything else newsworthy surrounding the program on a regular basis throughout the week.
I'm looking forward to covering this years team for Bucky's 5th Quarter. If you have any tips, questions, comments or just feel like saying hello, all my information is listed at the bottom of this post and as always, feel free to leave a message in the comment section.
