Thursday brought us a decision from J.J. Watt who will leave Wisconsin early and head to the NFL Draft. But we are still awaiting decisions on the future of offensive coordinator Paul Chryst and running back John Clay.

John Clay

2:59 pm: John Clay officially announces he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2011 NFL Draft.

2:12 pm: ESPNMadison.com is now also reporting John Clay will declare for the 2011 NFL Draft.

Noon: ESPN.com's Adam Rittenberg has learned Clay's meeting with Bielema is scheduled for Noon CT. Sounds like we will hear something soon.

11:15 am CT: It appears today will be D-Day for Clay. Reports surfaced Thursday that he would meet with Bret Bielema today to discuss his future. We're not sure if that meeting has happened yet, but the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Jeff Potrykus is reporting Clay will likely leave and join Watt in the 2011 NFL Draft. That report is based on a source and Potrykus admits it is possible Bielema could convince Clay to stay in their meeting today.

Paul Chryst

The last report we saw Thursday night was that Chryst was out of the discussion for the Pitt head coaching job. He also reportedly missed out on the Texas offensive coordinator job as they went in a different direction. If true, then that really only leaves the UConn job and we haven't seen any reports indicating he is on the Huskies' wish list. It appears likely Chryst will get a raise and stay at Wisconsin.
