Badger Bits: Partridge and Ash will be co-defensive coordinators

Charlie Partridge and Chris Ash are both promoted to the defensive coordinator position. Interesting move! Dave Huxtable will be the linebackers coach; he was previously the defensive coordinator at UCF.

With that big news item out of the way, back to the regularly scheduled Badger Bits. Happy Tuesday everyone, and happy first day of the semester to all of the UW-Madison students out there. I know most of you are getting geared up for Saturday's big Packers-Bears clash, but this Viking fan will be spending Saturday afternoon uncontrollably crying in a dark closet. I still haven't decided who to root for yet, but I think I dislike Green Bay more than Chicago. On to the links!

LT Gabe Carimi, LG John Moffitt, and TE Lance Kendricks will all be playing in the 2011 Under Armour Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on January 29th. O'Brien Schofield tore his ACL while practicing for this game last year, so let's keep our fingers crossed that the three All-Americans leave Mobile with all cruciate ligaments and bowl stocks intact.

New deals are in place for Bret Bielema and Paul Chryst, while the re-emergence of Bob Bostad to Texas rumors seem to be unfounded.

Dick Vitale really likes the Badgers right now. writer Stewart Mandel gives a fond farewell to J.J. Watt, whom he called one of the most enjoyable players to watch this past season.

Wisconsin Hockey has struggled on the penalty kill recently, but that's partially due to bad luck in the form of unlucky deflections and the like.
