Congratulations to the Auburn Tigers and Gene Chizik for winning the BCS National Championship Game last night. It was a mere two seasons ago that Chizik was fearlessly leading the Iowa State Cyclones to a 2-10 record. Then again, Bret Bielema and the Badgers almost lost to Cal Poly two seasons ago. How quickly things can change.

Adam Rittenberg's final Big Ten rankings for the 2010 season are out. Let's just say that the fact Wisconsin didn't lose by 42 helped them stay ahead of a certain team that lost by 42.

Can Wisconsin finally end a 5 game losing streak at the Breslin Center tonight? This appears to be an easier task than it has been in previous years (see: Spartans loss to Penn State), but Michigan State still protects their home floor as well as anyone in the Big Ten.

More Badger links after the jump!

If you missed it, Phil has the preview for tonight's game against Measuring Stick University. I was always under the impression that MSU stood for Moving Screen University.

Off Tackle Empire has their 2011 bowl predictions up, and Wisconsin is slated to finish 8-4 and play Tennessee in the Gator Bowl. Yuck. I wouldn't completely discount these as exactly one year ago, Bama Hawkeye correctly predicted the Oklahoma/UConn Fiesta Bowl matchup.

Timmy Jarmusz watched the last time Wisconsin beat Michigan State on the road on television. That 2004 victory prevented Michigan State from clinching a share of a Big Ten title, and Illinois ended up winning the title outright that season. Now Jarmusz has his own chance to send Michigan State into a panic situation/tailspin tonight.

Troy Hesketh will not be playing for Badger hockey next year because of academic reasons, according to Badger hockey blog Sixty Minutes. But his spot has already been filled by defenseman Patrick Daly.

The Only Colors has the Wisconsin/Michigan State game preview from the Spartans perspective.

To get you pumped for the game tonight, here's a bunch of Wisconsin/Michigan State YouTube videos. Bucky gets tackled by Spartan cheerleader. Inane video about how Michigan State should have been in the Rose Bowl. Kyle Jefferson gets plastered. Wisconsin-Michigan State: Kohl Center senior day 2007 edition. 2007 Breslin Center edition. MSU/UW Kohl Center 2003.
