Good morning Badger fans! Here are your Badger Bits for Monday, September 27th!

With a record-setting game in their shadow, the Wisconsin Badgers (4-0) will be looking forward to this Saturday's Big Ten opener when the team will be traveling to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans (4-0), according to Tom Mulhern of Madison.com.

The Badgers set several new school records against Austin Peay, including new marks for points scored (70) and point differential (+67). Wisconsin also scored a touchdown on each of their first nine drives. Needless to say, the frequency of Wisconsin touchdowns led to a lot of push ups by Bucky Badger. The mascot did about 385 push ups on the day, easily the most of the season.

Wisconsin also stayed relatively stagnant in both the AP and Coaches polls, which were released on Sunday. Wisconsin still sits at #11 in the AP- a relatively surprising ranking, because of losses by both Texas and Arkansas. Both Auburn (#10) and Stanford (#9) jumped the Badgers. Wisconsin also stayed at #9 in the Coaches poll.

More Badger Bits after the jump!

Wisconsin linebacker Mike Taylor is starting to look like his old self again, according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

Potrykus also has his post-game report card up for the Badgers following Saturday's game against Austin Peay. Tom Oates of Madison.com also has his view of the game up on the website.

ESPN.com's Adam Rittenberg has his Big Ten helmet stickers up on the Big Ten Blog. Wisconsin's James White was one of this week's recipients.

Badger back-up quarterback Jon Budmayr played in his first football game since high school, and even enjoyed getting hit again.

Allright, somebody looked after I told you guys not to on Friday about the Wisconsin women's volleyball team being undefeated, because the girls were beaten by both Ohio State and Penn State on Friday and Sunday. The team will look to rebound against Illinois on Thursday.

5 days until the Big Ten opener!
