Hello everyone! Here are your Badger Bits for Wednesday, August 11th!

Wisconsin's fall camp continued for the second straight day yesterday. You can read more about the team's second helmets-only practice from Karl Anderson at the UW Athletics website. Some of Anderson's key notes from the practice include JJ Watt's emerging leadership role, how players build on previous successful practices, and some standout plays of the day.

There are also links to some photo galleries from the day, as well as a sights and sounds video. UWBadgers.com will be updated continuously during fall camp, so be sure to check out their football blog for all of the links that your heart desires, including notes from Monday's practice. Today will be Wisconsin's first practice with pads, and then the team will start to move into two-a-day practices as they get closer to kicking off the regular season.

Both Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema and defensive end JJ Watt had good things to day about their work today via their Twitter feeds. Here's what Bielema had to say:

Day 2 is on the books and it was better than day 1. We have liked the workmans approach to practice & overall preperation. Much cooler too.

JJ Watt has definitely started to step up as one of the main voices of the team, and is getting some recognition for his work ethic:

RT @brandon_alan: @JJWatt99 heard u were workin hard to lead that DL today. Nice to see ur one of the last to leave too. <- I appreciate it!

Bret Bielema and the coaching staff picked up another recruit for the 2011 football class on Tuesday. Michael Caputo is a linebacker prospect from Pennsylvania, who chose the Badgers over Ohio State, Penn State, and Pittsburgh. He is rated as a three star recruit by ESPN.com. Caputo joins as the ninth verbal commitment for Bielema this year.

Jeff Potrykus from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel thinks that the Caputo commitment is a good sign that Wisconsin can compete with other top powers in college football for recruits.

Black Heart Gold Pants, Iowa's home on SB Nation, has their 2010 preview of the Badgers up on their website. The two part series goes into depth about the Badger's offense and defense, and includes a hilarious video from John Moffit, who has been named BHGP's new 'favorite Badger'.
