Welcome in to a our live game thread for tonight's game against Michigan State at the Kohl Center. I just got done watching warm-ups and other than the usual disparity of how the two teams look in person -- Michigan State looks tall, long and athletic while the Badgers look small, slow and white -- there's not much to report.
I thought it was a little odd that I didn't see Jon Leuer at all in warm-ups. Usually he is at least standing by the bench or helping rebound basketballs.
I'm sure they do this everywhere they go, but the Spartans were jumping and dancing around on the "W" at halfcourt when their warm-up session was over. Convenient that they so after the Badgers had already gone back to the locker room.
There was a huge line of students outside the Kohl Center when I got here around 6 p.m. The line wrapped all the way around the SERF, which is the student rec facility adjacent to the Kohl Center.
For more pre-game thoughts and notes, be sure to follow us on Twitter. Tonight's extras include a pre-game chat between Bo Ryan and Bret Bielema on the eve of Signing Day.
We'll have a lot more as the game gets underway. For now, feel free to leave your comments and predictions below!
JON LEUER UPDATE
LEUER TEASED THE FANS A LITTLE BIT BY HITTING 1-OF-2 THREES RIGHT AT THE END OF THE SECOND WARM-UP SESSION.
HE IS NOW WEARING A MORE FLEXIBLE BLACK CAST.
THERE ARE RUMORS THAT HE WAS IN THE NICHOLAS-JOHNSON PAVILION SUNDAY NIGHT SHOOTING AROUND WITHOUT A CAST ON.
IT’S VERY POSSIBLE HE COULD BE COMING BACK AS SOON AS FEB. 9 AGAINST ILLINOIS, WHICH WOULD BE RIGHT AT THE START OF THE 4-TO-6 WEEK WINDOW WE FIRST REPORTED HERE AT B5Q.
