Happy Homecoming Friday! Here are your Badger Bits for Friday, October 8th!

Freshman running back James White hasn't been around the Wisconsin football program for very long, but he's catching on quickly to the magnitude of the Battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe, according to Tom Mulhern at Madison.com. Wisconsin and Minnesota will face off for the 120th time on Saturday, with the Badgers looking to extend their winning streak to a record seven games.

"It's like a totally different game," White said of the things he has learned from older players. "Both teams are just fighting, no matter what their records are. They're going to go out there and give it all they have. (The Golden Gophers) may have lost four games but they're going to come out in this game like they're undefeated."

It will also have been 2,517 days since the Minnesota Gophers last held the Axe; and 5,828 days since the Gophers last beat the Badgers in Camp Randall, according to Adam Mertz of Madison.com.

More Badger Bits after the jump!

Offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler will be starting again at right guard on Saturday, according to Jeff Potrykus of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

UWBadgers.com has their 'Know the Foe' preview of the Golden Gophers up on the website.

Head coach Bret Bielema spoke with the media after the team practice on Thursday, including some (non)injury updates as well as some info on quarterback Curt Phillips.
