Welcome into our live game thread for today's game between No. 23 Wisconsin and Penn State. This is the second of two games in a row that I call "Should-wins" to start the season. In a year where the Big Ten is so talented, you can't give away games like Wisconsin did a year ago. With Michigan State and Purdue coming up next on the schedule, it is crucial for UW to start the conference season 2-0.
The good news is that the Badgers have fared very well against Penn State, historically. On top of leading the overall series 23-8, UW has won 10 straight over the Nittany Lions by an average of 20.2 points. Last year, Wisconsin went into State College just one game after ending a six-game losing streak and throughly beat up the Lions. Penn State went 0-for-14 from 3-point range, marking the first time since Nov. 23, 2002 it went without a made 3-pointer.
