Badger Bits: Weather aside, November's arrival welcome

If you like Wisconsin athletics, then you love that late fall/early winter period from November to January.  That is when all three revenue sports - football, men's basketball and men's hockey - are in full swing.  The football Badgers head into the final third of their season at 6-2 and, barring self-destruction of epic proportions, will play in a bowl game over the holidays.  The hockey team is pointing in the right direction, with three wins in its last four games, including a sweep over New Hampshire this past weekend.  And the long-awaited return of Wisconsin basketball comes Wednesday with the team's first exhibition game at the Kohl Center.
