Badger Bits: Teams take to the road

After several big sports weekends in Madison, the three major teams will spend a lot of time on the road over the next couple of weeks.  It will be an unusually quiet Thanksgiving weekend here.  In the past, this holiday has featured Badger men's basketball games, as well as the College Hockey Showcase, in which the men's hockey team traditionally faces Michigan State and Michigan.  The hoops will be played in Hawaii this time around, as the Badgers play in the tough Maui Invitational.  Both hockey games will be played in Michigan.  Beginning next season, football will be added to the late November slate, as the Big Ten finally joins the rest of college football in extending its schedule past Thanksgiving.
