2014 Wisconsin Football Recruiting: Genoa (Ohio) offensive tackle Michael Deiter commits

Deiter, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman, becomes the Badgers' eighth 2014 recruit.

Wisconsin returned to offense in the 2014 recruiting class on Monday, securing a commitment from Genoa (Ohio) offensive tackle Michael Deiter. The eighth member of the Badgers's 2014 class, Deiter also becomes the third offensive lineman of the bunch, joining Monona Grove (Madison, Wis.) tackle Jaden Gault and Arrowhead (Hartland, Wis.) guard George Panos.

Deiter is a 6-foot-6, 300-pound lineman and three-day attendee at Wisconsin's camps this week. He's projected to play guard at the next level, and according to BadgerNation.com, Deiter worked with the offensive linemen and coach T.J. Woods on Monday, as well as graduate assistant and former Wisconsin tackle Josh Oglesby. He was first offered by the Badgers after the April 20 spring game, and chose Wisconsin over six other offers from Bowling Green, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Nebraska, Toledo and West Virginia.

Deiter is a three-star prospect according to the 247 Composite scale, as well as the No. 56 overall recruit from Ohio. He follows Mukwonago, Wis., linebacker Dominic Cizauskas, who committed to the Badgers on Wednesday.
