James White, Melvin Gordon enjoy Green Bay Packers' imitation of touchdown dance

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

What did the two Wisconsin workhorses think of the Packers duo using their (not yet trademarked) dance?

If you haven't yet seen the touchdown dance of Wisconsin running backs James White and Melvin Gordon, here it is again in all its glory:

As of Thursday evening, it had been watched about 133,000 times. Apparently, some running backs about 130 miles northeast of Madison saw the video as well:

Green Bay Packers running backs Eddie Lacy and James Starks celebrated Lacy's 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter of a 27-20 loss to the Chicago Bears by imitating the prolific college rushing duo on Monday Night Football. White and Gordon both enjoyed the gesture, and didn't mind the "other" one-two rushing punch in the state mimicking their dance.

"It was pretty cool. It definitely wasn't something I was expecting, but I guess it's gone viral," White said with a laugh after Tuesday's practice.

The run by Lacy tied the game at 17. Gordon was watching the game Monday night and saw the celebration, then had some friends message him about one of the lone positive points of the Packers' loss.

"It was cool watching that, you know, to see the video that we made, but then to see guys in the pros doing it, that was pretty cool," Gordon said.

Both White and Gordon do not have a direct connection to either Lacy or Starks, although White believes former Badgers standout and current Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball had worked out with Lacy in the offseason this spring.

When jokingly asked if he thought Wisconsin's stable of backs should receive credit for the dance, White shrugged and did not make it a big deal about it all.

"Yeah, I guess so, but I mean, they're just having fun, just like we are," White said.
