George Marshall, a three-star point guard from Chicago, IL, gave UW head coach Bo Ryan a verbal commitment Tuesday evening. The junior becomes the second member of UW's 2011 recruiting class. Marshall is ranked No. 112 in Rivals.com's Top 150 of 2011.

Feeling Blue? Vander commits to Marquette over Wisconsin

It's all over Badger fans. The long, sad recruitment of heralded Madison Memorial star Vander Blue came to an end Sunday when he announced he will sign with Marquette during the November early-signing period. Having originally given Wisconsin his verbal commitment, Blue backed out last spring and re-opened his recruiting after a solid junior season that brought him attention from basketball powerhouses all over country. This is a huge blow for the Badgers, who have now lost out on four recruits in just over a month and a half. Two of those recruits -- Diamond Taylor and Jeremy Glover -- were already enrolled at UW and set to join the team this season. Nnanna Egwu, a 6'9 junior forward from St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago verbally commited to Illinois earlier in the month and Blue chose Marquette Sunday.

UW loses Egwu to Illinois

Wisconsin fans probably saw this coming: Nnanna Egwu committed to Illinois Friday, turning down both UW and Purdue. When his stock spiked in the spring, the chances of the 6'9 center from St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago committing to Wisconsin sank. Egwu is now rated among the Top 10 recruits in the Illinois Class of 2011 -- considered to be one of the best classes ever in one of the best high school basketball states. By late summer it appeared Illinois and Purdue were the favorites and after visiting Champaign last weekend, Egwu chose the Illini. Egwu's former teammate at St. Ignatius, guard Dan Fahey, is a walk-on freshman for the Badgers.

Badger fans should be ashamed by the way they treated Vander Blue, who decommitted from the Badgers Tuesday.
