Commitment Status Undecided on College Choice

As a face-up big man, Nick Rakocevic would be an ideal fit for Wisconsin's offense, but they will have to put up a fight to reel him in. Both Illinois and Wisconsin are in hot pursuit, with the Illini offering first in February. Rakocevic had a great visit to UW for the thrilling win over Michigan State in February, but waited until early March to get his offer after Bo Ryan and Greg Gard took in one of his Class 3A playoff games. He has also visited Miami, Notre Dame, Purdue (who is recruiting two of his teammates) and Marquette, with interest from Florida, Oregon and most major programs in the midwest.

Based on his AAU affiliation alone, he might be considered an Illini-lean, however Wisconsin has a good relationship with high school coach Gene Pingatore at St. Joseph, having recruited several players from the school previously -- with varying degrees of success. Although he's not the star of his high school team yet, some consider Rakocevic the best 2016 prospect in Illinois.
