Wisconsin showed plenty of interest in Flannigan years ago before he had any high major offers. It is unclear exactly when the Badgers extended an official offer. But Flannigan hit the scene as a physically dominant 8th grader, with a frame very similar to what he possesses currently, and was named all-state as a freshman. He continues to be a part of the USA Basketball Development Team, although he did not make the U17 team.
