The Outback Bowl surprisingly passed on the Badgers in favor of Northwestern and UW will head back to Orlando for the fourth time in five years. Lots to discuss on this one and we'll have more later in the evening.

From JSOnline: Wisconsin reserve wide receiver Maurice Moore was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to Madison Police. Moore was involved in an accident and suffered minor injuries. A UW spokesperson said Sunday afternoon that head coach Bret Bielema would comment on the matter Monday during his regularly scheduled news conference. Moore is a fourth-year junior from Fort Worth, Texas. He has three catches for 45 yards in nine games this season.
If anyone is looking for a good college basketball yearbook, I highly endorse the Blue Ribbon Yearbook, which is edited by Chris Dortch. I used it last year for the first time and it was incredibly helpfull when I needed to get information on Wisconsin's opponents. Check out their web site or call their toll-free number at (877-807-4857).

The first ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll was released today and Wisconsin received no votes, while five Big Ten teams were ranked. The Big Ten also announced at today's Big Ten Media Day in Chicago that Michigan State was selected by the media to win the Big Ten. Purdue came in second while Ohio State was picked third. The conference only announces the top three teams. But based on the first rankings released, it is safe to say Wisconsin is currently viewed as the seventh best team in the Big Ten. Michigan State received the No. 2 ranking in the ESPN/USA Today poll, while Purdue was No. 7, Michigan No. 15, Ohio State No. 17 and Minnesota No. 18. Illinois was second under "others receiving votes," putting the Illini at No. 27 in the country. Wisconsin joins Penn State, Iowa, Indiana and Northwestern as Big Ten teams which did not receive any votes. One would think the Badgers are better than those four teams, although it could be argued that the Wildcats are up there with UW.
