Rafael Gaglianone pushing for kicker job

Has Jack Russell already surrendered his starting kicker job?

Kevin Estes becomes Badgers' 19th commit for 2015

The San Marcos, California tackle joins a very impressive offensive line class.

Camp update: Derek Landisch expected back for LSU

Injury updates, more praise for freshmen receivers, and Badgers heeding the call to fight ALS

Watch 'The Camp' for a recap of scrimmage No. 1

UWBadgers.com's fantastic video series is back this week with a recap of last week's scrimmage, the first of two that will provide insight into how the Badgers will look in 2014.

Fall preview: Cornerbacks

Wisconsin's cornerbacks are a largely unproven but talented group that could define how the defense fares in 2014.

5 more Badgers earn their 'Ws'

During Friday's morning practice, reporters noted a few more freshmen sporting the Motion "W" on their helmets. Offensive tackle Beau Benzschawel, linebacker D'Cota Dixon, safety Lubern Figaro, defensive lineman Conor Sheehy and cornerback Derrick Tindal are the newest first-year players to exchange their black stripes for Wisconsin's logo, joining kicker Rafael Gaglianone and wide receivers Natrell Jamerson, George Rushing and Krenwick Sanders with their "Ws." The tradition, of course, started when Gary Andersen came to Wisconsin. This year's crop of freshmen has widely impressed in camp, elevating expectations for certain positions previously seen as weaknesses. That's especially true at kicker (Gaglianone might have the starting job locked up) and wide receiver (two, maybe three among Jamerson, Rushing and Sanders could travel with the team to LSU for the opener Aug. 30).

Montee Ball highlights from that brilliant 2011 season

There are nearly 10 minutes of highlights here, so it's just impossible to pick one favorite play from Montee Ball. I do think one thing that stands out here, and something that I've always admired about him, is his ability to make the most nasty of cuts look so easy. I think it's how he stays balanced while juking/cutting; he rarely looks like the fastest running back, but he's always able to evade defenders. Worse comes to worse, we've seen him throw out a nasty stiff arm on a quite a few occasions. Also, how much damn fun is it reliving Wisconsin's offense with Russell Wilson at the helm?

Projecting Wisconsin's latest recruiting board

So it's time to assess who the takes are remaining on Wisconsin's big board. Spoiler: there's a lot here.

An opposing coach's take on Wisconsin

"You leave a game with Wisconsin after getting your face kicked in and go, 'Who were those guys?'"

Anonymous coach to Sports Illustrated, via Madison.com. The full quote is part of SI's season preview issue, and also credits the Badgers as follows: "I don't know a program in the last 20 years that has won as many games as they have without a quarterback that anyone has heard of."
