Mike Eaves dominates ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

I've seen a lot of awesome ALS Ice Bucket Challenges this summer, but I think Mike Eaves just took things to another level. Outstanding video all around.

Report: Anthony Jennings to start at quarterback for LSU vs. Wisconsin

LSU sophomore Anthony Jennings will start at quarterback vs. Wisconsin on Saturday, a source tells's Jim Kleinpeter. Jennings apparently beat out freshman Brandon Harris after a strong week of practice.

As a freshman last year, Jennings appeared in nine games and started in LSU's Outback Bowl win over Iowa. He went 13-of-29 for 181 yards, one touchdown and one interception over those nine games. Harris, meanwhile, came to LSU as the class of 2014's No. 3 dual-threat quarterback, according to 247Composite. We ran through the competition between Jennings and Harris in more detail last week.

Much like Wisconsin's stated plans, LSU head coach Les Miles said he wouldn't publicly name a quarterback before the opener. He did say on Wednesday that LSU's staff has "a plan" in mind to play both Jennings and Harris.

In other LSU news, cornerback Rashard Robinson and wide receiver Malachi Dupre both did not travel with the team to Houston.

LSU CB Rashard Robinson, WR Malachi Dupre not playing

LSU sophomore cornerback Rashard Robinson and freshman wide receiver Malachi Dupre did not travel with the Tigers to Houston for Saturday's game vs. Wisconsin, according to several media reports. Dupre, a former five-star recruit, sprained his ankle in practice this week and has battled injuries throughout camp. According to Geaux247, Travin Dural, John Diarse and Trey Quinn are likely LSU's top three receivers. Dural is a sophomore deep threat who caught seven passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns last year. Diarse is a redshirt freshman and Quinn is a true freshman who comes to LSU has a four-star recruit.

As for Robinson, the Advocate reports he's been under suspension after practicing with the second team for much of camp. He entered the fall as a preseason All-SEC third-team selection and came on strong late last season, starting the final two games of the season. He and fellow starting cornerback Tre'Davious White have been lauded as one of the nation's top DB duos. In Robinson's place, junior Jalen Collins is expected to start.

Also, reported Friday that LSU has settled on sophomore Anthony Jennings as its starting quarterback for Saturday.

I don't think the Wisconsin blogosphere is ready for this.

Cleveland PF Esa Ahmad includes Wisconsin in top 5

Cleveland (Shaker Heights) power forward Esa Ahmad joined fellow Wisconsin basketball target Diamond Stone in naming the Badgers in his top five on Thurdsay. Ahmad is a four-star prospect who's considered the class of 2015's No. 9 power forward and No. 52 player overall, according to 247 Sports' composite rankings.

As B5Q's Phil Mitten discussed on Wednesday, Ahmad could make his way to Madison on Sept. 20, along with three-star Minneapolis point guard Jarvis Johnson. Maryland gets the first crack at Ahmad, though, on a visit to College Park this weekend. According to his family, Ahmad is still likely to visit all five of his top schools at some point.

Milwaukee C Diamond Stone includes Wisconsin in top 5

Finally, some good basketball recruiting news for Wisconsin: five-star Milwaukee (Dominican) center Diamond Stone has included the Badgers in his top five. 247 Sports' composite rankings have Stone as the class of 2015's No. 1 center and No. 4 player overall. He's a versatile offensive player at 6'10, 246 pounds and he's also a quality rim protector -- earlier this month, he recorded a USA U-17 single-game record five blocks vs. China when the Americans won the gold medal at the FIBA U-17 World Championships in Dubai.

Badgers fans will also like to know that four-star Cleveland (Shaker Heights) power forward Esa Ahmad also included Wisconsin in his top five. B5Q's Phil Mitten had the latest on UW's pursuit of both players, among others, on Wednesday.

This chart proves Wisconsin is one of the most 'admirable' powerhouses

The above graph is from the Wall Street Journal (we found it via Deadspin). It charts college football programs' success both on and off the field, and you can see Wisconsin is sitting pretty damn nice in the top right, along with "admirable powerhouses" Clemson, Stanford and UCLA. The chart's methodology is pretty standard and while this might not necessarily prove anything, it sure is great barstool fodder.
