After a week off due to spring break, the Wisconsin Badgers stepped back onto the field to continue their spring practice sessions on Tuesday morning.
It was only the fourth practice for UW, but the first one in pads as head coach Paul Chryst and his staff got the juices flowing with what's known as the "Badger Drill," which you can see above.
Here's a recap from reporters in attendance.
Quarterbacks: Alex Hornibrook struggles
With the quarterback position up for grabs, the competition between would-be redshirt senior Bart Houston and would-be redshirt freshman Alex Hornibrook is the one battle to watch leading up to the spring game on April 23, and into fall camp.
In Tuesday's practice, Houston seemed to have the edge.
Alex Hornibrook really struggled today. In team drills and 7-on-7 combined, he was 8-20 with three INTs, two of which were returned for TDs.

Houston (12-of-17 with 1 INT in team and 7-on-7 drills) missed a couple throws + took a couple sacks but looked more comfortable than AH.

Couple of really nice throws by Houston today. Fit several into tight spots, also dropped a really nice bomb on Love for a would-be TD.

Corey Clement, Reggie Love, appear to change numbers
Clement says he caught major flack from his grandfather about changing numbers. Had bought so many No. 6 jerseys.

#Badgers running back Corey Clement is back to wearing No. 6 after switching to 24 for the first three practices of spring.

Corey Clement's number change from 6 to 24 lasted all of a week. Back in single digits today.

Reggie Love also appears to have changed his number to 84.
