With all the coaching turnover in the last month, Wisconsin was bound to risk losing a few recruits in the process. While many still plan on joining Paul Chryst’s team in Madison, today the Badgers lost their first commitment of the class of 2015 as Ocean Lakes (Va.) cornerback T.J. Griffin reopened his recruitment.
Ocean Lakes 2015 CB and #Wisconsin commit T.J. Griffin has re-opened his recruitment and will visit #UVA. More later on #VaPreps

This is not exactly a shock given that Griffin was recruited by former wide receivers coach Chris Beatty, who is leaving the Badgers for Virginia.
As our @hatfieldsports reported, DB TJ Griffin has decommitted from #Wisconsin. Will visit #UVA on 1/23. Direct effect of Beatty to UVA

Under the circumstances, it seems likely that Griffin, ranked the No. 100 corner in his class by 247Sports, will become a Cavalier (although he previously had offers from Duke, East Carolina, Marshall, West Virginia and Oregon). The loss of Griffin reduces Wisconsin’s class to 25 commits, including cornerbacks X'Zaviae Ausborne, Takadrae Williams, and Titus Booker.
