Football

There are a lot of important Wisconsin Badgers out there for the 2014 season: Vince Biegel was No. 1 on Badger 247's list of x-factors for the upcoming season. His defensive teammate, Derek Landischwas named the 14th-most important player for Wisconsin.

The specialists have struggled over the years, and Fox Sports Wisconsin's Jesse Temple breaks down if they will improve this year. And let's not forget about checking in on the guys with the headsets.

What's turning into a weekly update: Does Russell Wilson have what it takes to be a top-tier quarterback in the NFL? ESPN.com's Mike Sando certainly thinks so (Insider). Sando writes that Wilson's best attributes are his leadership, decision-making, mobility and Super Bowl pedigree. However, his biggest question mark surrounding the quarterback is, of course, "how much his lack of height lowers his ceiling." ... For some, the NFL stands for Not For Long; still, certain players truly don't understand their window is closing once they step into an NFL locker room. JJ Watt, on the other hand, understands the bigger picture and gets "it."

Basketball
