It's been a while since Wisconsin has faced top-end talent, or at least even remotely top-end talent, during non-conference play. Going through past opponents, the only two teams that are sticking out to me, and ones that had a moderately decent record, were Arizona State in 2010, who finished 6-6, and North Carolina in 2005, who finished 5-6. Both games ended with a positive result, but the one against the Sun Devils was filled with a much more exciting ending with Jay Valai's blocked extra point for a touchdown making the difference in a 20-19 victory at Camp Randall Stadium.
There's no need to relive the teams 2013 regular-season matchup.
