Wisconsin Badgers Video of the Day, 7/16: Greg Stiemsma blocks 6 shots in NBA debut

Like many ballers who attended Wisconsin, Greg Stiemsma wasn't an NBA prospect the first day he walked on campus. The more work he put it in, the more he, the fans and coaching staff saw his game evolve. Stiemsma went the non-traditional route to get to the NBA, playing in the D-League and overseas for a variety of teams, but the Randolph, Wisconsinl native saw action in the league for the first time in the NBA with the Boston Celtics in 2011. He was recently waived by the New Orleans Pelicans, and it raised some eyebrows throughout the league. Nevertheless, Stiemsma has made his living in the paint, and it was exemplified by his first ever NBA game.
