Taking a cue from the open thread, I want to start a series that spurs discussion among us on issues related to our times in Madison. This is my first fanpost, so here's to hoping i do this right.
Starting off, I want to have a discussion about our favorite sports memories from any (or all) of the Wisconsin teams. You don't have to have been there for the memory, though all of my Mt. Rushmore events, I've attended.
I'll start this this off:
My best Badgers Moment was my freshman year in the spring of 2006. Our hockey team kicked ass and we advanced to the frozen four in Milwaukee. I was able to score tickets to both the semis and the finals. There is nothing better, than playing for a championship in an arena that is 95% Badgers fans. It was just an awesome moment.
The close runner up would be Wisconsin-Ohio State football in 2010. We were ranked 18 I believe after losing a game to MSU, and Ohio State was ranked number 1. I was visiting the school a year and half after i graduated. We had student section seats in P. Right from the opening kickoff by Gilreath, it was amazing. Storming the field was a great experience to take in, especially since I had never had a chance to do it before (didn't have tickets when we stormed Kohl for winning the B1G regular season).
Honorable Mention goes to my first great Badgers memory, which was Stocco's 4 yard go ahead QB sneak with like 20 seconds left against Michigan in 2005. This was my desktop pic for the next couple years.
So anyway, those are my top memories, what about you?
