Sam Dekker good to go for Wisconsin's opener vs. Northern Kentucky
Good news: Sam Dekker is cleared to play in Wisconsin's season opener Friday vs. Northern Kentucky. Dekker had been dealing with a left ankle injury since late October, missing the team's Red/White Scrimmage and exhibition vs. UW-Parkside along the way.
"It's feeling good now," Dekker told reporters after Wednesday's practice. "It took a little longer than I thought it was going to.
"Nothing else really needs to be said about that."
Dekker enters the season as a preseason All-Big Ten selection alongside teammate Frank Kaminsky. Last season, Dekker finished third on the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game and third with 6.1 rebounds per game.
