Former N.C. State coach Tom O'Brien says his relationship with Russell Wilson was never that bad

Former N.C. State coach Tom O'Brien told reporters on a conference call Friday that he has no regrets about how he handled Russell Wilson's final year with the Wolfpack, and that his relationship with the Super Bowl-bound quarterback isn't as bad as the media portrayed it to be. It's been widely understood that O'Brien, now an associate head coach and tight ends coach at Virginia, gave Wilson an ultimatum to choose between playing baseball or football at N.C. State prior to the 2011 season. Wilson ultimately chose to transfer, and the rest is literally history, as we all so fondly remember.
