#3 Michigan and Wisconsin play a tight first half at the Kohl Center.
Wisconsin and Michigan are locked in a tight one Saturday at the Kohl Center, as the Wolverines take just a one-point lead into halftime, 29-28.
Sam Dekker leads all scorers with nine points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3P) in the half, giving the Badgers an offensive spark off the bench. Traevon Jackson (2-2 FG, 2 AST) and Ryan Evans (2-5 FG, 1-4 FT, 4 REB) added five points each.
After a rough start to the half, Trey Burke (3-8 FG, 1-4 3P, 5 REB) turned it on in the last few minutes to join Tim Hardaway Jr. (3-8 FG, 1-2 3P) atop the Wolverine scoring list with seven points. Mitch McGary added six points on perfect shooting (3-3 FG) off the bench.
It was a clean half overall with just five turnovers between the two teams (one for Michigan, four for Wisconsin), but poor shooting (44 percent) has both teams under one point per possession for the half. Michigan sits at 96.7 points per 100 possessions going into the break with the Badgers at 95.2 per 100.
