Apparently it was Bo's suggestion. Rebounds might be a little funky but I guess that could help the Badgers - I figure that his FT shooting couldn't really get any worse so an extra offensive board here and there would be nice.
The only other "different" FT shots I can think of were by a couple of players at LMU in the early 90s. Early in the season Hank Gathers attempted shooting his FTs left handed, and after he tragically passed away before the NCAA tournament Bo Kimble memorably shot his first FT of each game left handed as an homage.
