(Writer's Note) I bolded the three best opponents faced so far for quick reference- Iowa, OSU, and ASU.

All three ratings rank us in the top 20. But while both S&P and Sagarin slot us into the top ten, FEI penalizes us for our horrendous special teams play. Looking forward to BYU on Saturday S&P and FEI both predict a low scoring game as both view each team's defense as elite. The key of the game will be our offense versus the Cougar defense, which easily rates as the best defense we've seen so far as only Arizona State's defense rates in the top 30 in both F.O.'s ratings systems (Iowa did rank 12th in S&P, but only 47th in FEI). However, there is a major caveat. All we've been hearing so far has been about BYU's high scoring offense. Remember, we have faced two elite spread-offenses so far in OSU and ASU, both consensus top 10 units. And in both cases our defense has more than held its own, keeping Ohio State to its lowest point total thus far, and holding AZ State to its second lowest total (Stanford held them to 28).
