Ramage Ejected For Open Ice Hit
Here is the video of the John Ramage hit on Nick Oliver. An absolutely atrocious call on a legal hit. Ramage was given a 5 minute major and was ejected from the contest.
The funny part was he coasted into the hit, he wasn't moving his feet so it wasn't like it was a charging penalty either. He kept his elbows in, made the check to the body. Just a clean, face to face hit at center ice.

Egregious Call
This happened right in front of my section. I couldn’t believe they called it a hit to the head. Even from three rows back it was obvious it was a completely legal hit. It’s too bad the SCSU player ended up hurt, but that will happen when you have your head down coming through the neutral zone.
This shitty penalty call and Rammer’s ejection changed the whole complexion of the game. I only hope the B1G Hockey refs are a cut above the WCHA ones, though it isn’t exactly a high bar to clear.
