So Wisconsin didn't make SB Nation's Top 25. Can't say I'm surprised, even though I did return the Badgers to my ballot this week. As BadgerInDC put it in the comments, the Badgers of the previous three months deserve to be unranked? The Badgers of Saturday night? Well, who knows who couldn't they beat.

Elsewhere in the Big Ten, four teams settled into the Top 25. I had Ohio State at No. 3 due to their undefeated mark, though the consensus on the network wasn't as welcoming. The Buckeyes dropped two spots to No. 8 while they were idle, and Northwestern, Nebraska and Michigan landed at Nos. 21-23. I dropped Nebraska and Northwestern from my ballot, though my inclusion of Penn State and Michigan also gave it four Big Ten teams.

As for the Huskers specifically, an eight-spot drop is certainly fair. Could they have fallen even more? I obviously hold Michigan in higher regard, though I don't know if I'd pick against Nebraska vs. San Jose St. and Kent St.
