BlogPoll Week 10 Ballot: Georgia Joins Top 5

Scott Cunningham

After LSU tumbles, Georgia rises. Elsewhere, Louisiana Tech jumps five spots and a few smaller schools fill out Nos. 22-25.

If anything, this week's ballot is defined by changes in status. By that I mean Georgia is now a top-five team (No. 5 after a three-spot rise), Louisville is now a top-10 squad (No. 10 after a two-spot rise) and Louisana Tech is now top-20 caliber (No. 20 after a five-spot rise).

What's this all mean? Probably not a whole lot. You could nitpick between Georgia, Florida and Florida St., and I wouldn't venture much argument. In the "real world," (psh) Ohio State's absence would have pushed Louisville higher up this whole time.

Fun stuff does come at the bottom, though, where Northern Illinois, Toledo, Kent St. and Ohio all make appearances. That's mainly due to the list of five bigger-name schools that dropped out, though those four one-loss programs are growing harder to ignore.

Thoughts? Complaints? Predictions for how our ballot will compare to the mothership's tomorrow?
