Just as in football, expect Wisconsin to be the first team to welcome Nebraska to Big Ten basketball.
Yesterday afternoon, an anonymous poster on the Buckyville message board posted what appears to be a draft version of Wisconsin's 2011-12 schedule that shows the Badgers traveling to Lincoln on Dec. 27 to open league play on ESPN2. If accurate, the conference slate would be very balanced, with the most difficult stretch coming right away in January when Wisconsin faces Michigan State at home followed by road trips to Michigan and Purdue.
While the UW Athletic Department is still in the process of finalizing the schedule, we know the Big Ten already released its full schedule to individual schools sometime in the last week or two. Not all tip times and television coverages are set yet and all details are still subject to change.
