Research for a college football article

My name is Alex and I am the lead editor for a website called spartanavenue.com, a michigan state sports website. I am conducting a little bit of fun research for an article I'm writing.

In the comments section below, if you could list what rivalry you feel is the best in college sports in terms of most hatred towards each other, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I will be post a link to the article when I publish it likely sometime next week.

Wisconsin vs Minnesota has been an epic rivalry since the beginning of college football. The Gophers have sucked as of late, but it’s still a rivalry and we all hate the Gophers.

Ohio State vs Michigan is obviously huge, and similar to Minnesota, Michigan hasn’t been strong lately making the rivalry less interesting recently.

Miami and Florida State is a big ACC rivalry.

Seems to be a lot of hatred flowing in the Alabama/Auburn rivalry lately.

I'd agree with this.

It’s really seemed to intensify over the last year or so, especially recently. Both football teams having won the BCS title game the past two years also doesn’t hurt the rivalry.

Don't think that's ever going to happen.

Basketball? I’d say that’s an absolutely crazy series. Football, though? Duke has been terrible for so long that I’m not sure they exist.

Kind of like Purdue.

They still get amped for that game

regardless of the fact that they’re pitiful.

But fine, I’ll go with a different one. How about USC-ND?

Pheh.

No. I’d say Michigan-Penn State, because Penn State fans are still pissed off about Michigan’s BS in the 2005 and 2007 games.

I'd say

that Wisconsin vs. Ohio State is a little underrated, but it definitely exists. Penn State vs. Ohio State is also very intense, but I give the nod to Wisconsin vs. Minnesota.
