Wisconsin, Taylor garner respect
Apparently CBS Sports' basketball guys (Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish) got some grief over excluding Jordan Taylor from Monday's 2012 NBA mock first round draft and felt the need to justify it today with another post stating that Taylor is a preseason First Team All-American.
Awesome. That's great, a sign of respect for Taylor and Wisconsin basketball. And I agree with all Parrish's points in the post. What bothers me is Badger fans bombarding authors like Parrish without stopping to think first. Jon Leuer, with the size and skill set that the NBA covets, was not even a first round pick last week. Can't a reasonable person imagine Taylor may not be a sure-fire first-round pick next year?
Everyone is entitled to express an opinion, but this incident made me think: Is UW's fan base teeting on the edge of becoming one of the whiniest in America? Badger fans raised hell -- and rightfully so -- when Taylor was left off the list of Cousy Award finalists last season. But this is a different issue and a different moment. Add the Russell Wilson hype and the national love for Bo Ryan and Jordan Taylor over the last year and I think we can agree that Wisconsin fans are in no position to pull a Rodney Dangerfield.
Rant complete. So what do you guys think -- does Wisconsin still get disrespected or is it time for Badger fans to sack up and enjoy the athletic department's success?

I am fine with him leaving him out.
This is mock draft made almost a year in advance. Players will fall, players will rise. Let him prove it on the court that he should be drafted or drafted in the 1st round.

I definitley think we are respected these days, maybe even to a fault sometimes
The Jordan Taylor thing is a little silly though. He’s definitley an NBA caliber player and I would bet my house he gets drafted. He’s a big time scorer that doesn’t turn the ball over and can play D. Seriously what else could an NBA team want in a PG?
